There’s also a geared rack on the cutting height adjustment. Another clever design detail is the LED work light attached to a flexible arm.

Hinged top and bottom blade guard doors plus a quick-release blade tension lever enable fast, fuss-free blade replacement. There’s a window in the top guard door featuring a blade tension indicator, negating the need to open the door to check the state of the blade.

A built-in brush cleans the wheel and keeps it tracking smoothly by removing sawdust, which is directed into a sliding compartment drawer and 100mm collector port.

User safety is of paramount importance, that’s why the Hafco Woodmaster BP-310 Wood Band Saw has a number of protective measures built into it. There’s a safety magnetic switch with dust cover and emergency stop, so in the case of a power outage it won’t allow the machine to fire up again unless the Start button is pushed. In addition, the hinged blade guards are equipped with micro-switches that cut power in the case of the blade guard opening.
