In The Shed: Hafco SB-200 Sandblasting Cabinet

Thanks to its compact design, the Hafco SB-200 Sandblasting Cabinet (Order Code: S289) is well-suited to home workshop or garage applications.

From blasting rust, paint, dirt or any other foreign material, to etching work on glass (with the use of the correct blast medium), this machine’s uses are wide-ranging.

Hafco’s SB-200 features a heavy-duty, powder-coated steel cabinet with stand, plus a tempered acrylic glass protective screen with replaceable shield. The internal dimensions of the sandblasting cabinet are approximately 835 x 510 x 360-550mm (L x W x H).

A fully-sealed side door entry employs a secure, single-lock latch system and allows for larger jobs to be easily placed inside the cabinet. The hopper below stores and re-circulates the blast medium (it’s advised to use 2 x 25kg abrasive grit).

The 240V cabinet has a recommended free air delivery (FAD) of 340L/min. @ 100psi. There’s provision to connect a dust extraction system via the side vent when heavy sandblasting is required. It’s recommended to be used with a dust collector, available as an optional accessory (Order Code: W886 or W332). Please note: when using a dust collector with sandblasters, it’s important to clean the filter bag regularly.

In addition, this model is supplied with: an internal low-voltage work light; protective gloves; blast gun; replacement protective screens; and an assortment of ceramic tips.
