The America’s Cup is the oldest trophy in international sport. First contested in 1851, the history and prestige associated with the America’s Cup not only attracted the world’s top sailors and yacht designers but also the involvement of elite brands and sponsors.

It is an elusive and powerful trophy that represents sporting & technological expertise like no other.

In 2013, the 34th America's Cup, hosted by the city of San Francisco, had the world on edge. Emirates Team New Zealand engaged in a nail biting challenge against Oracle Team USA. We didn’t win the Cup, but we did win the hearts and minds of San Francisco and the world’s media.

Then, in 2017 Emirates Team New Zealand finally claimed the cup with a 7-1 victory over the defending champion, Oracle Team USA in Bermuda. With Peter Burling at the helm, New Zealand were able to come back from a dramatic capsize and bring the cup home!
