In The Shed: HAFCO Woodmaster DC-3 Dust Collector

The HAFCO Woodmaster DC-3 Dust Collector (Order Code: W394) is a low pressure, high volume (LPHV) extraction system that efficiently removes large quantities of waste from equipment such as planers, thicknessers and wood lathes.

Also known as a chip collector, this extractor features 1200cfm airflow suction thanks to its 2Hp (1.5kW)/240V motor. Dust and shavings collected are sucked through twin Ø100mm inlets by the impeller fan blade. Waste then falls into the lower bag, the air being exhausted through the top filter bag, collecting some of the fine dust on the way.

The DC-3 Dust Collector has quick-action clamps fitted on both the top and bottom bags. The 5 micron fine filter bag is held in place by the top bag support arm.

This portable piece of equipment is completely manoeuvrable thanks to its four swivel wheels and convenient push handle.
